HOW IT WORKS
A useful quote starts with a useful brief. We keep the journey simple and make the key decisions visible from the outset.
Tell us what you are packing, the volumes, components, target date and what “ready” needs to look like.
We clarify the process, responsibilities, materials, checks and timings so the route forward is clear.
Your agreed packing work is completed in a controlled sequence, with communication kept straightforward.
Completed stock is checked against the agreed brief and prepared for its next destination.
QUALITY BUILT INTO THE BRIEF
Relevant checks are planned around your acceptance criteria—not added as an afterthought. That gives the production team a clear reference and gives you a clearer handover.

Still unsure? A short conversation is often the quickest way to establish whether a packing job is a good fit.
Call 01494 623015Share the product or components, pack format, approximate volume, required completion date, any packaging materials already available and where stock is coming from and going to. Photos or a sample can also help us understand the task.
Yes. Start with the job you need to solve and its timing. We can talk through whether the brief is a good operational fit, whether it is a single project or a recurring requirement.
That is the starting point. We clarify the agreed sequence, presentation standard, checks and responsibilities before production, so everyone is working from the same brief.
Relevant checks are agreed around your specification. Depending on the job, that may include an approved sample, in-process checks and a final review before completed stock is released.
Confirm the stock and components, finished pack, quantity, required checks, material availability and target date. Send what is known through the form or call 01494 623015, and identify open decisions so the team can clarify the scope before quoting.
START A CONVERSATION
Send the essentials and the Stockholm team will review your requirement. The more context you can share, the more useful the first conversation can be.
A contract packing quotation is easier to assess when it defines how a finished pack will be accepted. Provide an approved example and describe the features that matter: correct components, label position, code content, closure, visible damage and presentation inside the outer case. Use photographs to distinguish an acceptable variation from a pack that needs a decision, particularly where appearance matters to the brand.
Agree the checking scope for each feature. That could mean checking every pack for a missing component while sampling presentation at specified stages. State the frequency, the record required and what happens when a check fails. For barcoded packs, distinguish a read test from formal verification of print quality. The checking method should match the evidence your customer expects to receive.
Include responsibility for first-off approval and for releasing finished stock. A named decision-maker and an agreed response route help when production finds a result outside the reference. Ask Stockholm to include retained samples, count reconciliation and photographs in the scope where they are useful. Recording these requirements before quotation makes the proposed inspection work visible and helps prevent a disagreement at final handover.
Use clear photographs and a written acceptance boundary for the relevant area of the pack. Specify which defects require segregation and who can decide on borderline examples.
Sampling examines selected packs. If a feature needs checking on every unit, identify it explicitly and agree a suitable method, recording requirement and action when the check fails.
Define the unit being quoted before comparing prices. A “pack” might mean one labelled product, a multi-item kit or a completed outer case. State the contents, sequence and finished presentation, then ask each proposal to cover the same accepted output and quantities by variant.
Separate preparation work from repeated production work. Artwork review, sample approval, material sorting and setup can affect the total even when the unit packing task looks simple. Identify whether the quotation includes incoming checks, labels, inserts, outer packaging, pallet preparation and the records required at release.
Material readiness changes what can be scheduled. List who supplies every component, where it is now and when it will be available for checking. If some items are still undecided, ask for the assumption to appear in the proposal and for the point at which timing or cost needs to be reconfirmed.
Compare the exception route too. Agree how damaged incoming stock, missing components, rejected packs and requested changes will be reported and authorised. Clarify whether storage, additional handling, transport or repeat setup is included or priced separately. This creates a commercial comparison based on a defined job rather than an unexplained per-unit figure.

A packing approval sample is the reference for the finished result, supported by written instructions about contents, orientation, labels and acceptable presentation. Agree who approves it and which product variants it covers. Stockholm can discuss the sample and checking scope for the job; approval of appearance alone does not establish material suitability, regulatory acceptance or an unlimited inspection commitment.
